What makes your Bar Soap different?

Filthy Rich Artisan Bar Soaps are formulated and Handmade at our Soap lab, so what you're purchasing is fresh. Not to mention, we made your soap bars with good old-fashioned saponified plant oils. 

Do you use animal products?

Nope! We are a vegetarian soap company. We do not use any form of animal ingredients in our soap. We also do not test our finished products on animals. We are avid users of our products, so we test them on ourselves before we offer them on our website.

How are your soaps made?

We make handmade soaps using the cold process method, and then they are cured for 4-6 weeks, some longer.

Tell me no lye! Does Filthy Rich Soaps use lye during processing?

The burning question. Yes, sodium hydroxide (lye) is necessary to make soap. All soap is made with either lye, potash, or both. No matter which reacting agent is used, both deplete during the reaction. There is no lye in the finished product after saponification.

What type of packaging do you use?

We wrap your soap in a food-grade, acid-free, oxo-biodegradable bioplastic that completely breaks down in 2-3 years. The bioplastic wrapper contains a microscopic permeator that allows the soap to breathe while protecting it from dirt, dust, and other microbes. Under landfill conditions, it begins to break down into bacteria, fungi, and algae food. We suggest storing unwrapped bars in a cool, dry place and out of the sun. Exposure to water, heat, and sunlight may activate the decomposition process. Our shipping boxes are made from 100% recycled content using 95% post-consumer waste and are curbside recyclable & naturally biodegradable.

How should I store my soap?

Store unused soap in a cool, dry location. Used soap should be stored away from water, preferably in a covered container that is not airtight. Keep out of direct sunlight to keep colors as vibrant as possible.

I bought two Bars of Soap, why don't they look the same?

Our soaps are handmade and poured, so colors and patterns may differ slightly from bar to bar. No two bars will be the same.

Are there any allergy concerns with this product?

We sometimes incorporate plant matter, algae, and or spices in our soaps. All  ingredients used are listed on each product. If you have had any issues or reactions with products containing any of the listed ingredients for any reason, we suggest selecting a different bar. 

What are your shipping rates?

Our system will calculate your shipping rates and green shipping/carbon offsets if selected at check out.

What is the standard turnaround time?

Though we like to process our orders in 1-2 business days, please allow 3 to 8 business days for standard shipping times.

What if my package is damaged or missing?

If you did not opt for the Green Shipping Protection, and the tracking shows a successful delivery, you will need to contact the shipping company for any missing packages. If you did opt for the Green Shipping Protection at check out, reach out to their customer service by email, on Corso's website, or fill out a reorder request within 24 hours of the reported delivery date.
